ALBUQUERQUE, NM – One person died Tuesday night in an auto-pedestrian crash on the west side of Albuquerque.
The accident happened on the westbound side of Central Avenue near 86th Street, which is west of NM-345 in the Sunrise Homeowners area.
Police say that a westbound pickup truck hit a person in the roadway. It’s unclear if the pedestrian was utilizing a designated crosswalk at the time of the collision.
The victim succumbed to their injuries at the scene; they’ve not yet been identified.
The driver involved in the crash stopped to render and speak with police.
A full investigation is underway.
