ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A motorcyclist died Tuesday in a T-bone collision at a busy intersection on the west side of Albuquerque.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m. at 98th Street Northwest and Avalon Road Northwest, which is south of I-40 and west of Avalon Park.
Police say that a southbound Harley Davidson collided with the side of an eastbound 18-wheeler after running a red light.
The motorcycle operator succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity.
No other injuries have been reported in connection to the accident.
Motorists likely encountered rush hour delays Tuesday morning at 98th and Avalon while emergency crews worked at the scene.
