DOÑA ANA CO., NM – A two-vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler and another vehicle killed two people on Thursday in northwest Doña Ana County.
The crash occurred just before noon on I-25 near NM-187 in the Hatch area. This is about 86 miles west of White Sands National Park.
Police haven’t yet shared any details regarding the circumstances of the accident, nor have they released the names of the deceased.
Officials closed the center lanes of I-25 in the area of the crash while crews worked to investigate and clear the scene.
