Narrative:
SUNLAND PARK, NM – An ATV accident near the Rio Grande River in Doña Ana County seriously injured a 20-year-old man on Monday.
The incident happened in the evening on the levee near the intersection of Racetrack Drive and Doniphan Drive in Sunland Park. This is not far from the state line between New Mexico and Texas.
Police haven’t yet specified what caused the ATV to crash, but they say the victim went to University Medical Center with critical injuries.
There’s no word yet on whether anyone else was involved in the accident.
