Narrative
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – A fatal crash occurred on I-40W at mile marker 160, resulting in the death of a 64-year-old woman from Farmington. The crash involved two passenger vehicles and a semi-truck, temporarily closing the highway and causing significant traffic congestion.
Initial investigation by the NMSP suggests that inclement weather led to a Toyota skidding into a Ford, which was then hit by the semi-truck.
The Ford’s driver, 64-year-old Flora Garcia, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The drivers of the Toyota and the commercial vehicle were uninjured. The crash remains under investigation by the NMSP.
