ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KRQE News, a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a driver in southeast Albuquerque on Friday.
The crash was reported near the intersection of San Mateo Boulevard and Central Avenue on Friday morning. Authorities say two pedestrians were struck by a driver at the intersection and both were found injured when first responders arrived at the scene.
One of the victims was found in critical condition and rushed to a nearby hospital, where they later died. The other pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation.
