ALBUQUERQUE, NM – According to KRQE News, a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Albuquerque on Friday morning.

Authorities say the accident took place near the intersection of 4th Street and Candelaria Road when a pedestrian was found laying in the road after being fatally struck by a driver. The driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.

The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene.
